Ive had this phone for over a year now . The Battery Life sucks when your on the internet . Its complicated to do 3 way calling . The Keyboard freezes . The Phone automatically shuts off & on no matter how many times u take the battery out & place it back in . The touch screen on this phone has to be the worse thing LG has ever invented. The software. The phone kept doing things on its own. It would scroll on its own and it would lock up on an icon and you couldn’t get it off.

hey apohl215 if i did this for my LG rhythm do i need to install this driver for the tritan? or can i just use the lg driver i already have? thanks.

@danielkin09 nothing comes up in those folders at all

you know i’ve done everything the way you have said and nothing shows up at all for my ringtones and it even deletes the ones i paid for……..any suggestions

@apohl215 i had this problem too and i deleted the mysounds.dat before i did it

@danielkin09 DO NOT use the option send data to phone. This worked for me. So there is a good possibility that it will work for you. I have only done one ringtone, however. I haven’t been able to create two. ALSO. make sure your sound is relatively small. I was having issues with a large file.

In order for this to work, there are a few more steps AFTER this video. You need to save the new mysound.dat after restarting your phone. You must then open it in notepad. Then you copy the contents.

Now save the myringtone.dat to your desktop. Open it and paste in the contents of mysound.dat into the notepad and save it. Not go back to bitpim and overwrite myringtone.dat with the file on your desktop. The final step is to RESTART YOUR TRITAN MANUALLY. This means hold the power button.

So how about I follow all these instructions, yet I cannot see the ringtone on my phone. When I repeat the instructions, I can see the files I uploaded the previous attempt under the MS file, but still cannot see them on my phone. Any ideas?

it doesn’t have the option of lg vx 9700 or whatever… i tried updating the software but it won’t work on my computer…
do you know what i might be able to do to make this work?

Every time i try to install the second program it says something is missing or that the file is corrupted…? i don’t know what to do… could you help by chance/

Everything up until when you click file system worked. I dont even have that icon. did I mess up somewhere

The link isn’t all the drivers. google lg dare drivers and it should be the first link.

@apohl215 in the phone wizard I have to manually set the com# it will not automatically do it. and the only options it gives is “auto” and “com1″ none of those work. it doesn’t give me any numbers after failed detection

its not coming up for me either. the ones ive bought disappeared and the new ones arent there. I deleted mysounds.dat and did everything you said… but still nothing

@zlibraz make sure u go delete mysounds.dat before draggin ringtones into your ringtone folder and be sure to check the box ringtones when u click send phone data

@Qorrupt I would reinstall the driver. Also in the phone wizard after detection has failed does it give u any com# options on the side?

I did everything in the video but I still can’t get a com# to show up when I start bitpim. I already set up my mass storage and yes I have a recognized sd card. and yes I chose usb modem before I opened bit pim. it doesn’t come up with a com#…..I down loaded the files in order and intalled them the same as in the video. could you give me any advise on this please?
