Just to be clear, it can be done, but pretty much every software program can only read single notes and turn them into MIDI. If you are trying to convert an Mp3 with multiple instruments playing, you will not be able to change it to MIDI. I know FL Studio has this ability, but it is not free and is limited by the single note issue that I mentioned. Try a google search for free converters, but again, keep in mind that it will only work with single notes, so the Mp3 you have must be single note hits.

You can go to http://convertersoft. net to download a converter.
I personally use ultimate DVD + Video converter suite.
It works very well

Sorry but you can't convert mp3 to midi.
This article explains why.
http://www. mp3backingtrax. com/article31. htm

If someone's created a midi file for the mp3 you want try a search on this site. Just type in the name of the song.
http://www. vanbasco. com/midisearch. html

If that doesn't get a result Google, with quotes, "song name midi"
A search for "free ringtones" might also help.

www. download. com and search for conversion software if it is even made.
I don't think you can convert MP3 to Midi though.
If it's fairly popular you can search for it already made in Midi format.
